In 9th match of VIVO IPL-10 2017 Delhi Daredevils defeated Rising Pune Supergiants by huge 97 runs margin with their overall good performance in all aspects of the game. Batting first Delhi lost their opener Aditya Tare very early but then Sanju Samson held the innings together with Sam Billings and put up a 69 runs stand for the second wicket. After Sam Billings got out for well-made 24 runs off 17 balls Rishab Pant joined Sanju Samson. Rishab Pant scored 31 runs off 22 balls before he was run out by Mayank Aggarwal. Sanju Samson got out in 19th over but that time he has completed his century and he made 102 runs off 63 balls. In the end it was Chris Morris who played 9 out of last 10 balls and scored 38 runs with 4 fours and 3 sixes and took Delhi’s total over 200.
Batting second Rising Pune Supergiants never got going and not a single player could make more than 20 runs. They kept losing wickets on regular intervals and there is nothing to talk about the batting in this innings but surely Delhi’s bowlers did rule the match. Zaheer Khan and Amit Mishra were pick of the bowlers as they both got 3 wickets each.
Sanju Samson was named man of the match for his brilliant knock of 102 runs 63 balls and a well-deserved man of the match. Congratulations to Delhi Daredevils for their first win in the tournament
