In eighth match of VIVO IPL-10 2017 Kings XI Punjab defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore with 8 wickets with help of the tight bowling of their bowlers in first half of the innings. Batting first Royal Challengers Bangalore lost Shane Watson very early and then they lost three more wickets on regular intervals which reduced them to 68 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 13.1 overs. But at the later part of innings we witnessed some heavenly delighted batting by AB Devillers who finished his innings at 89 runs off 46 balls which included 9 sixes. He single handedly took his team to a score of respectability. RCB gave a total of 148 runs to chase to Kings XI Punjab.
Batting second Punjab got a brilliant start as their openers put up 62 runs stand for the first wicket in 6 overs. Manan Vohra made 34 off 21 and got out. But Hashim Amla remained unbeaten on 58 off 38 balls. In the end it was Maxwell once again with 43 runs off 22 balls who finished the match in 14.3 overs.
Axar Patel was named man of the match for his tight bowling spell which helped Punjab in restricting Bangalore to a moddest total of 148 even ABD’s tone. Congratulations to Kings XI Punjab and we hope they will keep the good run going throughout the tournament.
