7th Match IPL-10 2017 MI vs KKR


In seventh match of IPL-10 2017 Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets. Batting first Kolkata Knight Riders did start well as they scored 44 runs for the first wicket partnership. Gautam Gambhir was out caught on 19 runs. After that Kolkata Knight Riders kept losing wickets till the very end and they were not able to put up a big partnership after that. But Manish Pandey held one end and kept scoring at brisk rate and helped KKR to reach a total of 178 in their 20 overs. Manish Pandey made 81 runs off 47 balls with 5 fours and 5 sixes.

Batting second Mumbai got a decent start as they put up 65 runs stand for the first wicket. Parthiv Patel made 30 off 27 balls and Jos Butler scored 28 off 22 balls. Then they lost quick wickets on regular basis and once they were at 119 for 5 in 12.1 overs. But Nitish Rana was at the other end scoring fast and then joined by Hardik Pandya who scored even freely. Nitish Rana made 50 off 29 balls and Hardik Pandya made unbeaten 29 runs off 11 balls to see through his team in 20th over of the match. It was a rather close match than previous six matches.

Nitish Rana named man of the match for his heroic innings of 50 runs off 29 balls. Not to forget the contribution of Hardik Pandya of 29 runs off just 11 balls. Congratulations to Mumbai Indians.
