In sixth match of VIVO IPL-10 2017 Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Gujarat Lions by 9 wickets with the help of brilliant batting by David Warner and incredible bowling performance by Rashid Khan. Batting first Gujarat Lions started well as their openers scored 35 runs when they lost their first wicket in 5th over of the match. After that they lost quick wickets and they were 57 for 4 in 9 overs. Then there was a 56 runs partnership for 5th wicket between Dinesh Kartik and Dwayne Smith who scored 30 off 32 and 37 runs off 27 balls respectively. Somehow they could reach a total of 135 in their 20 overs.
Batting second Sunrisers Hyderabad lost Shikhar Dhawan in 4th over when the total was 32 runs and after that David Warner and Moises Henriques came together and scored unbeaten 108 runs partnership to see their team over the line. David Warner scored 76 runs off 45 balls and Moises Henriques made 52 runs off 39 balls. They achieved the target in 16th over of the match.
Rashid Khan was named man of the match as he got three top wickets of Gujarat Lions in his spell and given away just 19 runs in his 4 overs. He bowled like a champion and single handedly crush top order of Gujarat Lions which was proved too difficult to handle for GL.
