In 11th Match of Vivo IPL 2017 Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Kings XI Punjab by 8 wickets. Batting first almost every batsman of Punjab got a start but no one could convert it to a bigger score. Hashim Amla (25), Manan Vohra(28), Glenn Maxwell(25), David Miller(28) and Wridhiman(25) all contributed in a score of 170 runs. Suniel Narayan gave away only 19 runs in his 4 overs and picked up 1 wicket.
Batting second Kolkata started with a flying start as their openers put up 76 runs in just 5.4 overs. Suniel Narayan scored brisk 37 runs off 18 balls. But after this rollicking start Gambir didn’t look back and kept on scoring freely and he made unbeaten 72 runs off 49 balls and saw his team over the line.
Sunil Narayan was named man of the match for his overall good performance.
