Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kings XI Punjab Match-50


In 50th match of IPL-9 Royal Challengers Banglore defeated Kings XI Punjab by 82 runs with D/L method in rain affected match. Rain started even before the match was started so the match was reduced to 15 overs for each team. Batting first RCB off to a flying start when Chris Gayle and Virat Kohli scored 147 runs for the first wicket in just 11 overs. Chris Gayle scored 73 runs off 32 balls and Virat Kohli scored a blistering 113 runs off 50 balls. RCB set a total of 121 to chase for Punjab in 15 overs. Batting second Punjab was never in the hunt of that huge total set by RCB. Punjab kept losing wickets and they were at 120 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 14 overs when rain came down again and the match was called off. RCB was emerged as victorious by 82 runs with D/L method. Virat Kohli was named man of the match for his breathtaking innings of 113 runs of 50 balls. There was nothing to say about Punjab bowling or batting performances. They are out of the tournament. RCB can go through.
