Rising Pune Supergiants vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match-20

In 20^th match of Vivo IPL 9 Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Risng Pune Supergiants by 2 wickets. Batting first Pune batted well but they batted too slowly to put up a bigger score than 160 runs. Ajinkya Rahane scored 67 off 52 balls and Steven Smith scored 31 off 28 balls it shows that they played slow but the pitch was on slower side so total of 160 runs was defend able one the track. They kept wickets in hand but could not capitalize in the end. MS Dhoni scored 23 off 12 balls was only batsman to score freely in the end. Batting second KKR lost inform batsman Robin Uthappa on the very first ball of the first over of second innings. Morkel got him lbw. KKR kept losing wickets on regular intervals and that made contest more interesting. There were small partnership also which kept KKR in the hunt and in the last overs there was some panic in KKR’s batting as they lost some quick wickets.  But thanks to Umesh Yadav who held his nerves and hit a six on the third ball of final over to seal a victory for his team. Suryakumar Yadav was named man of the match who scored 60 runs of 49 balls and made some healthy contribution in the run chase. Pune lost their 4^th match on the trot and set down in the points table. MSD will have to regather his men and bring back the spark in the team. Hope they will do better in upcoming encounters.
