Rising Pune SuperGiants vs Gujarat Lions

This was a match between two friends who played together in last 8 IPL editions. One side was the team of Captain cool Ms Dhoni the Rising Pune Supergiants and on the other side the team of Suresh Raina the Gujarat Lions. Batting first Pune Supergiants looked to aim 200 plus runs at one time but again Gujarat Lion’s bowlers pulled it back by taking crucial wickets at crucial times. They contained them well. Although MSD scored 20 runs of last over of the innings bowled by DJ Bravo, they still could make only 161 runs in their 20 overs. I was going to be difficult to chase as Gujarat were up against captain cool. But Pune bowlers could not follow up the plans of their captain and they were scored heavily by the Gujarat openers and they almost knocked Pune out of the tournament in first ten overs. Finch scored fifty and brendon fell short of one run of a fifty. But they made it easy for the rest of the team. Later DJ Bravo played a cameo of 22 runs in 10 balls assured a 7 wickets victory for Gujarat Lions in 18 overs. It looked that it will be a cracker of the contest but in the end it was a cake walk for Gujarat Lions.
