Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match-24

In 24^th match of Vivo IPL-9 2016 Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets. Batting first KKR started well as their openers put up a 69 runs opening stand in 7.4 overs. Robin Uthhapa scored 36 off 20 balls and Captain Gambhir scored 59 off 45 balls. At times they were looking to go close to 200 or even above but some tight bowling in last overs brought Mumbai back and they managed to restrict KKR to 174 for 5 wickets in their 20 overs. Batting second Mumbai lost Parthiv Patel early but Rohit kept on batting well. He put a 59 runs second wicket partnership with Ambati Raydu but then there were some quite overs and small partnerships. Things were even when Josh Butler was out in the end of 13^th overs. Then came Pollard storm which took KKR with it. He scored 17 balls 51 runs to get an easy victory for his team. Rohit Sharma remained unbeaten on 68 off 49 balls and also named as man of the match. But for me the real hero of the match was Kieron Pollard whose innings won the match for Mumbai. But full marks to Rohit Sharma for his temperament.
