Mumbai Indians vs Gujarat Lions match 9

In ninth match Mumbai was beaten by Gujarat Lions by 3 wickets. It was a close match but in the end Gujarat won it easily. Batting first Mumbai never get going as they kept on losing wickets on regular basis and Gujarat bowlers gave nothing to them to play freely. In the end overs Pandya and Southee played some shots to take reach their team’s total to some kind of respectability. They set a target of 144 runs to win for Gujarat Lions. The total was looking small for Gujarat as looking at their form. Second inning was not started well for Gujarat Lions when they lost Brendon McCullum at the total of 12 runs but Suresh Raina established a healthy partnership of 43 runs with Aaron Finch to get them back on track. But as soon as Suresh Raina was dismissed there was panic in Gujarat’s batting line up and they start tumbling. But thanks to Aaron Finch who held his nerves in crucial moments and saw his team over the line in 19th over. It was more likely an IPL match, it has everything in it, pendulum swinging throughout the match but in the end it was too easy for Gujarat Lions to win. May be 10-15 more runs could have added the tighter finish touch to this one.
