In fourth Match of Vivo IPL-10 2017 Kings XI Punjab defeated Rising Pune Supergiants with 6 wickets with the help of their Captain Glenn Maxwell scoring 44 runs off 20 balls and David Miller scoring 30 runs off 27 balls. Batting first Rising Pune Supergiants never get going in first 6 overs. They lost their first 4 wickets in 11.2 overs at the total of 71 runs. Then Ben Stokes and Manoj Tiwari put up a 61 runs stand to reach to a quality total in their respective 20 overs. Ben Stokes made 50 runs off 32 balls and Manoj Tiwary remained unbeaten at 40 runs off 23 balls.
Chasing a total of 164 runs Kings XI Punjab were always in the hunt by keeping the run rate intact. They were at 85 for 4 in 11.1 overs when the Duo of David Miller and Glenn Maxwell came together. It was a display of good partnership between them as the hitting department was taken over by Captain Glenn Maxwell and Miller played a consolidated innings to see through his team over the line. Maxwell scored brisk 44 runs off 20 balls and Miller made 30 runs of 27 balls and added winning partnership of 79 runs.
