Rising Pune Supergiants vs Mumbai Indians Match-29

In 29^th Match of Vivo IPL 2016 Mumbai Indians beat Rising Pune Supergiants by 8 wickets. Batting first Pune lost Ajinkya Rahane early but then came Steven Smith who scored freely for his 45 runs off 23 balls and put up a partnership of 84 runs with Saurabh Tiwary. Saurabh Tiwary did play well for his 57 runs off 45 balls. When they both were dismissed the scoring rate came down rapidly as captain MahendraSingh Dhoni didn’t bat well for his 24 runs off 24 runs. He was unable to time the ball and that’s why they were restricted at the score of 159 which was once looking to reach at 180 and above. Batting second Mumbai started well. They lost only two wickets in run chase. Parthiv Patel, Ambati Raydu and Josh Butler scored 21, 22 and 27 runs respectively. But the show belonged to Rohit Sharma who scored 85 runs and remained unbeated off 60 balls. He took the charge to Pune bowlers and never let them come back in the match. He was also adjudged man of the match for his thrilling knock of 85(60) runs. Once again hard luck to MSD but Pune themselves are responsible for this loss as they didn’t made enough runs after that good start. Hope that MSD will come all guns blazing in next match.
