Gujarat Lions vs Kings XI Punjab Match-28

In 28^th match of Vivo IPL 2016 Punjab defeated Gujarat Lions by 23 runs. Batting first Punjab started well and they put up a 65 runs opening stand. New captain Murali Vijay lead from the front as he scored 55 runs off 41 balls. Then they lost 4 quick wickets which set them back. But thanks to Davis Miller and Wridhiman Saha who scored 31 and 37 runs respectively to bring their team back but as they were out the whole team start tumbling and they were bowled out for 155 runs in 19.5 overs. Batting second Gujarat never got going and they kept losing wickets every now and then which never let them made a comeback in the match. Punjab bowlers did really well to get early wickets and they showed the world even the top teams can crumble under pressure. Gujarat might be thinking what they have done wrong as they are defeated by the bottom team of the table. Nevertheless this was a happy match for Kings XI Punjab’s supporters. Axar Patel was named as man of the match for his bowling figures of 4-21.
