Mumbai Indians vs Delhi Daredevils Match-47

In 47th Match of IPL-2016 Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Daredevils by 80 runs. Batting first Mumbai started well. An opening partnership of 46 runs in between 7 overs laid the foundation. Rohit Sharma scored 31 runs off 21 balls and Martin Guptil scored 48 runs off 42 balls. But the day belonged to Karunal Pandya who came one down in 7th over of the match. He just started tore apart the Delhi bowlers and leg spinners were taken to the ride of hell. He hit 6 gigantic sixes out of the park in his innings of 86 runs off 37 balls. It was his innings which took Mumbai score to 173 runs in 17.2 overs. Then it was Jos Butler and Ambati Raydu who took this total to past 200 and they set a target of 207 to chase for Delhi. Batting second Delhi was never in the hunt as they kept losing wickets on regular intervals. Only three Delhi batsmen could reach to two figure score. Quinton Dekock played well for his 40 runs off 28 balls but it was not enough. Rishab Pant and Chris Morris tried hard but they could only score 23 runs off 17 balls and 20 runs off 16 balls respectively. Jaspreet Bumrah bowled well and he picked up 3 wickets in his 4 overs and gave away only 13 runs. Karunal Pandya was named man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
