In 55th match Kolkata Knight Riders defeated
Surisers Hyderabad by 22 runs. Batting first KKR started well and their openers
scored 33 runs in 3.4 overs for the first wicket. Robin Uthappa scored 25 runs
off 17 and Gautam Gambhir scored 16 runs off 15 balls. In middle of the innings
Manish Pandey and Yusuf Pathan played well. Manish Pandey scored 48 runs off 30
balls and Yusuf Pathan made unbeaten 52 runs off 34 balls. KKR set a total of 172
runs to chase for Sunrisers. Batting second Sunrisers Hyderabad lost Warner
early and after that they lost the ploy. Sending Naman Ojha ahead of others
proved to be a match losing move for Sunrisers.
He scored 15 runs off 25 balls and then chasing the runs on less balls
they kept losing wickets. In the end they were 22 runs short. Shikhar Dhawan
played well for his 51 runs off 30 balls but it all gone in vain. Yusuf Pathan
was named as man of the match for unbeaten 52 runs. With this both teams have
qualified for the Play Offs. Lets see whom they will be facing in playoffs.
