First Match IPL-10 RCB vs SRH

In first match of IPL 10 Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Banglore with 35 runs. A dominating display of batting by Yuvraj Singh, Shikhar Dhawan and Moises Henriques helped Hyderabad score a mammoth total of 207 in first innings. Shikhar Dhawan scored 40 runs from 31 balls and Moises Henriques scored 52 runs off 37 balls but the real star with bat was Yuvraj Singh who made brisk 62 runs off just 27 balls in which he hit 7 boundaries and 3 massive sixes. Sunrisers have shown the same intensity towards the first game in which they have finished last year and won the title.

Chasing 208 runs from 20 overs Royal Challengers Banglore got a good start with their openers making a 52 runs stand for the first wicket in 5.4 overs. Chris Gyale scored 32 off 21 balls and Mandeep Singh made 24 runs off 16 balls. Then they both got out quickly and after them Travis Head and Kedar Jhadhav put up a 56 runs stand and at that time the match was even. Then in 12th over Ben Cutting run Kedar Jhadav out with his brilliant fielding and turned the match on its head. Kedar scored 31 runs of 16 balls and Travis head scored 30 off 22 balls and after they both got out RCB lost wickets on regular basis and in the end Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s bowling efforts were too much for RCB batsmen and they were all out for 172 runs.

Yuvraj Singh was named man of the match for his incredible innings of 62 runs. The turning point of the match was certainly the run out of Kedar Jhadav when he was batting quite good. Thanks for reading. Keep in touch to read every match’s review from your own Angel Webs Ludhiana.
