In 41st Match of Vivo IPL-9 2016 Mumbai Indians
defeated Royal Challengers Banglore with 6 wickets. Batting first Banglore
started badly as they lost their inform captain Kohli in second over and then
Chris Gayle in fourth over. Then AB Devilliers and Lokesh Rahul put up a
partnership of 43 runs. AB made 27 runs off 24 balls before he was dismissed.Then
another 38 runs partnership was added by Lokesh Rahul and Shane Watson. Watson
made 15 runs of 14 balls. Then comes Sachin Baby who scored quick 25 runs of 13
balls and added 53 runs partnership with Lokesh Rahul. Rahul scored 68 runs off
53 balls. Bowling was tight and Banglore could only manage 151 runs. Batting
second Mumbai didn’t start well as they lost their opener Parthiv Patel in very
first over. Then Rohit Sharma and Ambati Raydu put a 58 runs partnership for
second wicket. Rohit Sharma scored 25 runs off 24 balls. Ambati Raydu made 44
runs off 47 balls. In the end it was Kieron Pollard and Josh Butler show. They
scored 35(19) and 29(11) respectively to see through their team in 19th
over. Krunal Pandya was named as man of the match for his tight bowling which
resticted Banglore to that moddest total of 151 runs. Banglore is out of the
tournament.
